Why Shelley decided to become a Postpartum Doula...
After battling Stage 1 Breast Cancer in 2020, Shelley felt compelled to answer a new calling in her life,
to serve others as she had been served.
During her days of recovery, she thought long and hard about how she could give back to the community that cared for her during her toughest time of need. That care came in many forms, but what stood out to her the most was the
sheer presence of caring individuals
and the impact they had on her recovery process.
These caring individuals were her husband Dave, her 5 children and daughter-in-law, extended family, neighbors, and friends. Via phone calls, texts, virtual meet ups, cards, deliveries, etc this group supported, educated, and assisted her in recovery, even throughout the
COVID pandemic.
After recognizing how important these acts of service were to her recovery, Shelley resolved to combine her personal, educational and professional experience to find the right opportunity to help others. Searching for a career that highlighted her strengths...a heart to serve, a desire to help families, and an undeniable empathetic spirit, it soon became obvious that she could best serve others as a
Postpartum Doula.
Two years later, Shelley is now a Proud Survivor, a Professionally Trained Postpartum Doula and a Female Small Business Owner.
One of the best parts... she is fulfilling her calling by serving

My name is Stephanie and I am the proud mother of not one, but TWO sets of TWINS!!
If you are reading this, you are probably in a similar position to where I was a few years back: You need help and direction for you and your growing family, but not “just anyone” will do. Your children are The Best gift you will ever be given, so you don’t want to raise them with anything less than perfection. You want The Best! You have high standards and expect that whoever will be helping you raise your children will also share this desire for greatness. I know, I get it!!

God strategically places very special people in our lives for a reason, and when my husband Jeremy and I moved to Waxhaw, NC in 2018, He had BIG plans for us! At the time, Jeremy and I had moved to a new house simply looking for a bigger home for our family. We were the proud parents of Identical Twin Boys and as anyone can imagine, having TWO of everything takes up a lot of space! Little did we know that in less than three months we would discover we were pregnant again! This time with TWIN GIRLS!
My husband and I both work full time jobs so we knew we would need help: A LOT of help! But not just anyone would do…We needed a SUPERSTAR that could understand the CRAZY dynamics of what it takes to raise TWO sets of twins!!
What I didn’t know back then that I know now is that Shelley would not only be The Perfect choice for my children, she would quickly become my very best friend. Over the past few years, Shelley has been my go-to person for everything. She has such a great understanding of what a new mother needs. It is like she already knew what I needed before I would!
Having five grown children herself and a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, Shelley completely knows what it’s like to be in your specific situation. Not only that, but she truly cares about the people in her life and earnestly wants the very best for them. You cannot find another human on this planet that will love and care for you and your family like Shelley will! She is a fantastic mother, caregiver, and friend and will be the perfect example and mentor for you! I can’t imagine where my family would be if God didn’t put Shelley in our lives…
My children are now completely thriving and I have had the opportunity to continue working a career that I absolutely love in pharmaceutical sales. Shelley has helped me balance the pressures that come along with being a working mom, so yes, you can do both IF you have the right people to help you!
It’s hard to believe but my twin boys are about to start First Grade and my twin girls are now almost 4 years old! Shelley has made such a positive impact on my family over the years and we will always be grateful and blessed to have her in our lives.
