Payment Terms

  1. Service Fees: All fees for postpartum doula services are outlined in the service agreement provided to each client. Fees are based on the type and duration of services requested.
  2. Deposits: A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total service fee is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. This deposit will be applied towards your total balance.
  3. Payment Schedule: The remaining balance is due as follows:
    • 20% of the total service fee is due upon booking.
    • The final payment is due upon the completion of services or as outlined in the service agreement.

  1. Accepted Payment Methods: We accept payments via Cash, Check, Venmo and Zelle
  2. Late Payments: Payments not received by the due date will incur a late fee of 2% of the outstanding balance per week. Services may be paused or terminated if payment is not received within 14 days of the due date.


Cancellation Policies

Client-Initiated Cancellations:

  • Prior to 1 Week Before Start Date: If you cancel services more than 1 Week before the scheduled start date, you will receive a refund of any payments made, minus the non-refundable deposit.
  • Within 3 Days of Start Date: If you cancel services within 3 days of the scheduled start date, you will be responsible for 50% of the total service fee.
  • After Services Have Commenced: If you cancel services after they have commenced, no refunds will be issued. You will be responsible for the full service fee as outlined in the agreement.


Provider-Initiated Cancellations:

  • If Shelley Tate Doula, LLC needs to cancel services due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., doula illness, emergency), we will make every effort to reschedule the services. If a rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be issued, including the non-refundable deposit.


Rescheduling:

  • Clients may request to reschedule services with at least 1 week notice prior to the scheduled start date. We will do our best to accommodate rescheduling requests, but they are subject to availability. If rescheduling is not possible, the cancellation policy will apply.


Termination of Services:

  • Shelley Tate Doula, LLC reserves the right to terminate services if the client violates the terms of the service agreement, engages in unsafe or inappropriate behavior, or if the working environment is deemed unsafe. In such cases, no refund will be issued, and the client will be responsible for the full service fee.


Refunds

Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within 14 business days of cancellation confirmation. Refunds will be issued using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed upon.
